Details
Taylor’s 214ce-N is an excellent "crossover" nylon string cutaway guitar that has a mellow, round tone. This guitar will appeal to classical guitarists looking for a nylon string instrument that is well suited to jazz and other contemporary styles as well as steel string players looking to experiment with the rounder, more romantic sound of a classical guitar.
The fretboard has a comfortable 20" radius and a 1-7/8" nut width and the neck joins the body at the 14th fret, a setup that will feel familiar to players used to models like Dreadnoughts, Orchestra Models or Grand Auditoriums. This model has layered walnut back and sides and a torrefied Sitka spruce top, a combination that produces a balanced tone with rich lower end and clear articulate trebles. The 214ce-N is fitted with Taylor's own ES-N pickup and includes a well-padded gig bag.
