Details
Dana didn't hold anything back on his Luthiers Choice series, and as a result this 00-cutaway has a lot to offer both your eyes as well as your ears (the fact it was built for the 2020 NAMM show sort of says it all). The book-matched Brazilian rosewood is dark and hard, all the binding and purfling is wood, gold Waverly tuners with ebony buttons, the list goes on and on. It's a 00, not an OM, so the string scale is shorter and playability is more comfy, especially those chord formations that trouble you. The tone is rich and warm, with great balance, and it responds equally well to either pick or bare fingers. This is not a never-got-played guitar, yet the fact the only signs of use is some wear to the frets tells us a lot about the care given by the original owner.
