Details
This 1995 Dobro DS33, which was also called the 33 Painted and the Model 88 in earlier catalogs, is a 14-fret resonator guitar with a steel body and a painted Darkburst finish. It has the large 10 ½” biscuit cone that Dobro tended to use back then rather than the 9 ½” you find in National-style guitars. This is the best deal we've had in a while for an American-made biscuit-cone resonator Dobro with a regular (Spanish) neck. The painted metal body has some chips at the edges but the dark brown finish is quite nice overall. Nice slim maple neck, that and the short scale makes this a very playable resophonic. Of course it's loud, but you can move your picking hand away from the bridge and get some haunting mellow tones when needed. Includes a hardshell case.
