The Deco Series is the latest addition to Deering’s popular line of Goodtime banjos. The new banjos feature Art Deco inspired hardwood fretboard inlays and an Art Deco pattern engraved on the headstock. The metal hardware has a satin bronze powder finish that is hypoallergenic and resists tarnishing. This Goodtime Deco Special takes the standard open back design and adds a resonator and a tone ring, which produces a louder, more focused tone that works well for bluegrass. Like all Goodtime models, this banjo features a 3-ply maple rim. The tension hoop and the steel Goodtime Special Tone Rings are rolled and finished in-house at Deering’s workshop. In keeping with the Goodtime Blonde Series, the Goodtime Special features a natural blonde maple finish.
