Details
This Santa Cruz Guitar Co. PJ was made 2003 and it’s in excellent structural condition but it does have a few very minor nicks and scuffs, all signs that this guitar was played. And why not? It's hard to figure how a guitar this small could sound so big. It's barely over 12 inches wide at the lower bout (about the same as a Martin size 2), and the string scale is under 24 inches, but in a blindfold test this Santa Cruz PJ can hold its own versus guitars far larger. The secret, as far as we can tell, is the combination of light top bracing and the 12-fret design which puts the bridge smack dab in the middle of the lower bout. But whatever it is, it sure works and if you're looking for the ultimate steel-string you can play comfortably in just about any position, this deserves serious consideration.
