Details
A remarkably original J-50, especially considering it's 60 years old. While the top shows a fair amount of surface wear from use, the rest of the guitar's finish is in very good condition. Best of all, we can't find any cracks or even loose braces! The Kluson tuners are original (note the bent button shaft on the G string tuner), frets, pickguard and bridge are original, but the ebony saddle may not be. Has that classic Gibson slope-shoulder tone, with the characteristic "whomp" when you're playing closed-chord rhythm. And what's most important to Gibson fanatics is that this J-50 pre-dates the more narrow necks that followed in '66/'67.
