These lower Northfield models are made in their Michigan workshop, and while they lack the inlay and binding bling the carved spruce top and carved maple back deliver great tone and volume. This example has some playing wear in places, and note the circular mark on the headstock from a clamp-on tuner, but the fret wear is light and there's no sign of any heavy dings or damage. Great value for a US-made carved mandolin with varnish finish!
