Details
The Rambler is our most popular Carr amplifier and when you plug it and hear that warm, round sound you’ll see why. This is one of Steve Carr’s earliest designs and it has a classic American 'deluxe' tone with the option of 28 watt pentode or 14 watt triode operation. It’s fitted with a 12-inch Eminence Valiant speaker which is driven by two Class-A cathode-biased 5881 (6L6GC type) power tubes. The Rambler has a tube-driven tremolo and spring reverb. This amp sounds great by itself but it has a high threshold of clean tone, which makes the Rambler an excellent pedal platform that is particularly well suited to any overdrive pedal ever built. The Rambler was designed to be the quintessential club amp and it’s voiced to meet the needs of virtually any player, a task it does very well. We ordered this amp with the Two Tone Grey/Slub covering.
