Details
If you're thinking of going back to the earliest days of the banjo, back before those new-fangled metal frets made an appearance, Pisgah offers a way to do it elegantly. This Appalachian has a 11-inch head and Pisgah’s standard, 26 3/16” scale length, which gives it excellent projection and clarity. The fingerboard is persimmon with a frailing scoop. This model has a simple rolled brass tone ring, a setup that produces a bit more punch and power than the all-wood rim that you’ll find on their Roscoe, Woodchuck and Possum models. The cherry neck has a graceful 'boat heel' design and the peghead is the 1880s paddle style and features a marquetry “Quilted Star” inlay. Includes a padded gig bag.
