Details
Martin's Ambertone finish is based on the "shaded top" option they offered in late 1920s and early '30s (in 1934 they switched to a darker, almost black and more abrupt shading). This Ambertone coloring blends well with the rosewood sides and back. Along with the warm good looks, of course, you get the vintage series features Martin carried over to these Standard Series versions, such as scalloped top bracing, the 1 3/4" wide neck at the nut, and Vintage style herringbone, neck inlays, and open-back tuners.
