Details
This used Collings CW was crafted in Austin, Texas in 2022. It’s in excellent structural and cosmetic condition, with almost no signs of having been played. The Collings Winfield is named for the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas, and the CW is a highly modified version of the D2H. It has a stiff Adirondack spruce top with an enlarged soundhole which is supported by a top bracing pattern based on the earliest 14-fret dreadnoughts. This is a guitar that was designed for the kind of hard-driving, aggressive bluegrass flatpicker who loves a rich, resonant bass and a crisp, clear high end. This guitar responds exceptionally well to a heavy picking hand, but still sings under a lighter touch, as well. Includes the original hardshell case.
