Details
This Regal Model 45 squareneck resophonic guitar was made around 1936 although coming with an exact date is difficult. While it has a Regal decal on the headstock it was made using Dobro’s designs. Because this guitar has a full-width rather than a tapered heel it was most likely made in California, but Regal in Chicago was making Dobros under license at this time, and both companies made parts for each other. This is a scarce model with a laminated spruce top and laminated mahogany back and sides. This is a sweet sounding guitar with the loud, round tone we expect from Dobro instruments. Includes a recent hardshell case.
