Details
You just don't see many Brazilian rosewood slope-shoulder Dreadnoughts, but given Dale Fairbanks devotion to this model we'd expect he'd be the luthier to do it (note that the fingerboard and bridge are also Brazilian). This example has big heaping handfuls of tone and headroom, and thankfully misses the booming bass overtones that can plague balance and clarity in rosewood D models. Another plus is the shorter string scale, which makes it both easier to play and warms up the tone as well (since the strings are not so tight). Note the neck width, and make no bones about it this is not a guitar for those who like low-profile "modern" guitar necks like you find on a Taylor. But of course if you've played original vintage Gibsons from the '30s/ WWII era this neck won't feel unusual at all.
Condition is excellent but this has been played so there are a few small dings in the finish on the top, and a couple of marks on the barrel of the neck. Comes with the original cool tweed case with Deco stripes.
