This exceptionally clean D2H was crafted in Austin, TX in 2022. It has a Sitka spruce top that has been torrefied, or Baked in Collings parlance, and Indian rosewood back and sides. The nut is 1 3/4-inches wide and the string scale is 25.5-inches. The D2H is the flagship of the Collings line and the model that first brought Bill Collings to the attention of the guitar world. Inspired by the classic herringbone-trimmed Dreadnoughts of the 1930s, the D2H has a rich, powerful tone with a deep, mellow bass and strong, clear trebles. Its original case is equally clean.
