The HF-3 LDS Deluxe is a fancy, long-neck version of Gryphon's best-selling Kamaka model, the HF-3 Tenor Ukulele. It’s in excellent structural condition and very good cosmetic condition. There are a handful of tiny scuffs and nicks here and there. The scale length on this model is 2 inches longer than the standard tenor (19” vs. 17”) and the extra string tension produces more volume and the longer neck gives you the ability to play much higher on the neck. The longer neck, and longer string scale, makes these long neck tenors the ideal "crossover" uke for guitar players as the fret spacing is closer to that of a guitar. The longer scale also allows you to experiment with different tunings because it responds well to lower tunings. This Deluxe version has a spruce top and rope-style purfling, a look that dates back to the early 20th century. It has a crisp, bell-like tone with impressive sustain. It’s dated Dec. 31 2019 on the neck block. Includes a Kamka-branded hardshell case.
