Details
This OME Mira was built in 2016 in Boulder, Colorado. It's in excellent structural and cosmetic condition. This is a sweet sounding banjo, with a round, full sound and lots of projection. The previous owner replaced the original Mylar herald with a real skin head. The neck is black walnut and it has radiused ebony fretboard. It has railroad spikes at teh 7th and 9th frets. At 25.5”, the scale length is a bit shorter than the standard 26 ⅛” and the nut is a slightly wider 1.34". It’s fitted with a Vintage brass tone ring fitted to an 11”, 2-ply solid maple rim. The OME Vintage tone ring has a large contact surface between the brass ring and the maple rim which produces a clear and responsive tone. It’s about 30% heavier than the rolled brass ring. Includes the original hardshell case.
