Details
This Eastman MD605 was made in 2014 and it's in fine structural and cosmetic condition. Like all of Eastman’s A-style mandolins, it has a solid, hand carved spruce top with solid, hand carved maple back. It has a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish and the top, back, sides, neck and headstock are all bound in ivoroid. The ebony fretboard has a radius. It’s fitted with a Schertler Resocoil pickup and Schaller tuning machines. The MD605 has the percussive bark that bluegrass demands when you dig in hard, but if you back off a bit, it works well for Celtic styles, old-time string band music, jazz and just about any style you can think of. Includes its original hardshell case which is in equally clean condition.
