Details
If you're looking at listings of D-18 Authentics you probably already know that like the originals, these models don't have an adjustable truss rod in the neck. This example has already been around for 15 years of string tension and the neck has only very slight relief, which means there's a good chance it's going to stay right where it is. Along with the great playability it also has our favorite 1 3/4" neck shape, with a little more room for your fingers but with comfy slightly rolled fingerboard edges that make playing those wrap-around chords where you use your thumb, such as the typical rhythm guitar picker's F chord, a breeze. If you're a bluegrass guitar picker this D-18 will please your left hand as well as your ears. Except for finger/pick scuffs to the pickguard there's almost no playing wear.
