Details
Dobros have traditionally been made with laminated wood bodies, the theory was "the cone is the tone," and the wood body just a vehicle for holding everything together. Once you play this Beard E model, made with solid curly maple, you'll be muttering "so much for THAT theory," as we did. This has that penetrating tonal power that allows you to back off and play subtle stuff and still be heard. And of course when you really want to serve notice that there's a dobro in the mix you won't have to worry about fiddles and banjos drowning you out. Note the curly maple wood binding, and the cool neck inlays, and the fact that while it's from 2006 the condition is almost like new. No strap buckles or steels got bounced into this one. Original case is equally clean.
