Details
This C# model mandolin was crafted 2004 by Dr. David Cohen, a luthier noted for his innovative cosmetic and structural designs. Cohen calls this model the C# because its silhouette has elements of both A and F body shapes and the note C# is halfway between the notes A and F. This mandolin has nicely figured maple sides and back, a carved redwood top and Cohen's own Asymmetrical Radial bracing system, which was informed by the work of Michael Kasha. The binding is curly maple and the ebony bridge is Cohen's own design. It has a radiused fretboard with almost no fret wear. The finish is in good condition throughout with just a few scuffs and dings here and there. Thanks to the carved redwood top this mandolin has a very warm tone, but there's no shortage of volume or projection. Includes a hardshell case.
