Hard to believe this Nick Lucas is twenty years old, but there's some very light fret wear and a few finger scuffs in the "pickguard position" (if it had one), so it has been played. No sign that anything has been changed, inside or out. There is a short crack in the bass-side lower bout (see photo) but there's signs this was glued at the factory before it was completed and the repair has simply shown up through the lacquer after 20 years. In short, it ain't goin' anywhere.
A few minutes of playing, or less, and you'll quickly realize why these deep-bodied 00-size Gibsons have legendary status among a wide range of guitar players, whether they flatpick or play finger style. Bass, balance, volume, clarity, this has it all. And of course there's all that lovely figure to the koa, and the iconic Gibson tobacco sunburst top.
Comes with the original case and all the paper work (check list etc.) Gibson included when it was new.
