Details
In the 70's the Gibson RB-800 was the king of banjos. With its curly maple neck and resonator, sunburst finish and gold plating it stood out from the crowd of banjos available in those days. All the parts and finish is original, and this example is in beautiful condition, the finish and plating are in good shape and you need to really look closely to find the minor signs of handling and playing wear. Finding a nearly 50 years old gold-plated banjo in this condition is rare, and it speaks not only to careful handling but also careful storage. If you're not use to seeing this model with such bright coloring, it's because Gibson's red is famously "light-fugitive", and this example just never spent much time exposed to UV light.
