Details
Here's a 76 year-old Martin that needs absolutely nothing, and all the work done to it was top-notch. As a result, it plays as smoothly as any new Martin but has lots of vintage vibe in both appearance and tone. Original finish except for touch-up to top wear around the end of the fingerboard. Only crack is the usual pickguard shrinkage hairline under the high E string.
Tuners are "two-line" Kluson Deluxe from the '60s, pickguard is original. Neck reset & refret were done by Alan Perlman in SF, bridge is an accurate reproduction of the original done here at Gryphon (original bridge had been cut down to lower string action before the neck was reset). Note the belt-buckle wear to the finish on the back, and a small ding to the upper edge of the headstock that's been nicely touched up. All interior bracing is original including the bridge plate. Comes in a nearly new Hiscox case made for this Martin size.
