Details
This Taylor 526e was made in 2014 and the best quick summary is that it's a big all-mahogany guitar done right. The combination of the Grand Symphony body shape and the mahogany soundboard result in a unique and pleasing sound. The hardwood top delivers the more compressed tone you expect, but that big sound chamber gives it more shimmer and clarity. One of the great things about large guitars like this is that they respond equally well to a robust flat picking attack and a more delicate finger style approach. There's only the lightest fret wear, and surface wear is minimal, just a few very small dings and some shallow shirt-button squiggles to the finish on the back. The original Taylor case is equally clean.
