Details
The Robert Cray is one of the very few Fender Stratocasters built without a whammy bar. Most players prefer the models with vibrato bars, but the hardtail variation has a few interesting features that make it an appealing guitar. Because the body hasn’t been routed for a vibrato, it has more mass, which increases resonance and sustain. And, if you don’t need a vibrato bridge, the hardtail Strat has improved tuning stability, it’s easier to setup, and string changes are faster. This guitar has an alder body with an Inca Silver finish. The maple neck has a rosewood fretboard with 21 frets and 9.5-inch radius. It’s fitted with a trio of Vintage-Style Single-Coil Strat pickups and 5-way selector switch. This guitar is optimized for playing blues but like all Stratocasters, it’s a very versatile guitar that is only limited by your imagination.
