Details
The Kamka HF-2 L has a long neck with the same scale length as a tenor ukulele. This produces more volume, thanks to the longer scale and slightly higher string tension, and the ability to play much higher on the neck. Of course this option appeals to more advanced players, but it's a bonus for regular folks as well as it means you can use a capo. As any guitar player will tell you, being able to put a capo on the neck means you can play in more keys without having to learn a whole new basket of chords, a real plus for vocalists or uke players backing a singer.
Like all new Kamaka instruments, the HF-2 L is impeccably crafted. The top, back and sides are solid Hawaiian koa and they have thin satin-sheen finish. This shows the koa grain and color to advantage and is yet another example of how the Kamaka crew keeps raising the bar and making their ukuleles even better. Includes a Kamaka hardshell case.
