Details
Dating Martin ukes from this period is never exact, but this Style 2 doesn't have the "Made in USA" stamp that was added in 1960, and these Waverly tuners weren't used in the early '50s, so our date can't be more than a couple of years off. These example really sparkles, both tonally and visually. There's some playing wear to the finish around the end of the fingerboard, and a few scratches and small dings, but it's a great example of Martin's ability to make mahogany look its best. It's quite loud with a lot of sparkle to the tone, a very fun uke to play.
