Details
This Manhattan was crafted in 2009 in Savannah, Georgia just a year after Bob Benedetto set up his workshop there after parting ways with Fender. While the Manhattan is not Benedetto’s fanciest guitar, its clean lines, impeccable craftsmanship and versatile sound have made it his most sought after model. This guitar is in excellent, very lightly played condition. The frets show a hint of wear and the finish has no nicks, dings, scuffs or scratches. So, how does it sound? As you might expect, this guitar has a rich, nuanced acoustic tone that responds equally well to a light, fingerstyle touch and a more robust flatpick attack. The floating humbucker lets you plug and add another tonal dimension. This guitar was crafted under Bob Benedetto’s supervision and he selected the tonewoods, reviewed the top and back voicings and inspected each guitar. He is now retired from guitar building so this is a rare opportunity to get a guitar Benedetto helped create. Original hardshell case is in equally clean condition.
