Martin offered some winning combinations of traditional and new tech to celebrate their 175th anniversary in 2008, and this cutaway OM is a good example. The pearl bordering around the top and rosette is a reminder that such decoration began with Martin (before the Civil War), but with a cutaway and Fishman’s Aura pickup system with onboard controls, this is also a thoroughly modern acoustic-electric guitar.
This guitar hasn't seen much use, and there's almost no fret wear and only the lightest possible finger scuffs to the black pickguard. There are a couple of slightly raised areas in the top finish below the bridge, we're guessing these are from a vinyl strap laying on the top when in the case? Similar marks encircle the output jack on the side, but thankfully none of these finish issues are very noticeable (the ones on the top don't show in photos, you have to hold the guitar in the light just so to see them). The original case is equally clean.
