Details
This Fender Deluxe 8 lap steel guitar was made in 1953 and is a fine example of Fender's professional grade lap steel guitar from the first half of the 1950s. This guitar has a sculpted body and Fender's "Direct String" pickup with an oblong casing featuring a larger magnet on the bass side. This design was intended to give the bass strings a fatter tone while keeping the shimmer of the high end. It has the same blonde over ash finish used on Telecasters from the same era. This steel guitar is in excellent condition with just a few minor signs of having been used. The pickup sounds great and has a clear, strong tone. The volume and tone pots have been replaced. This guitar was never set up for legs. Includes the original tweed case.
