Details
This Gibson Wes Montgomery L-5CES was built in 2009 and it’s in excellent structural and cosmetic condition and shows just the slightest signs of having been played. The back has some light surface wear that doesn’t show in the photos. The frets have almost no wear and the pickup cover and pickguard are nearly untouched. There is no tarnish to the gold parts.
The Gibson L-5 Wes Montgomery has long been a favorite with jazz players, who rarely use the rear or "lead" pickup on an archtop anyway. Without the added weight of that second pickup sitting right next to the bridge, these Wes Montgomery models have a more satisfying acoustic response with a rich, round plugged in tone. The original case is in similar condition. Includes the COA.
A classy jazz archtop in stunning condition.
