This Taylor 314e was built in Taylor’s California factory in 2022. It’s in excellent structural and cosmetic condition. It’s basically a special order, non-cutaway version of the 314ce, Taylor’s best-selling all-solid tonewood acoustic-electric guitar. Like the 314ce, this 314e is a superb "meat and potatoes" type guitar (or tofu and noodles if you prefer) that is an excellent guitar for stage work, studio sessions or living room use.
The 300 series Taylor guitars are aesthetically stripped down and offer the essentials for great sound (all solid wood construction, superior fret work, easy plug and play electronics, namely). The 314e is crafted with a Sitka spruce top and solid sapele back and sides, a tonewood combination that produces a strong midrange with a warm, woody low end. This guitar features the Grand Auditorium body design, which is Taylor’s most popular size. The depth of the guitar is equal to a dreadnought, but the waist and bouts are pinched in tighter which makes for a very comfortable guitar. The 314e is fitted with Taylor’s own ES2 pickup. The hardshell case is in equally clean condition.
