Details
When Martin added the HD-28 to their catalog in 1976, they brought back herringbone trim and scalloped braces to new guitars. Over the decades, they have refined the HD-28’s appearance and added elements like vintage-inspired open-back tuners, delicate diamonds & squares fretboard inlays and cream colored body binding. The sound of the HD-28 has also changed a bit since 1976 thanks to the forward-shifted scalloped X bracing. The HD-28 is one of our most popular Martin dreadnoughts, and when you hear how sweet they sound, you'll know why. Other changes and upgrades to this latest version of the HD-28 include a 1 3/4" nut width, the addition of a tortoiseshell-colored pickguard and a vintage-style C. F. Martin decal on headstock.
