Like all of Eastman’s A-style mandolins, the MD605-GB has a solid, hand carved spruce top with solid, hand carved maple back. It has a Truetone gloss finish with a Goldburst sunburst. It has ivoroid binding on the top, back neck and headstock and it’s fitted with a K&K Duotone pickup. The ebony fretboard is inlaid with pearl blocks and has a radius. The MD605-GB has the percussive bark that bluegrass demands when you dig in hard, but if you back off a bit, it works well for Celtic styles, old-time string band music, jazz and just about any style you can think of. Includes a hardshell case.
