Like all of Eastman’s A-style mandolins, the MD305 has a solid, hand carved spruce top with solid, hand carved maple back. It has a satin Truetone sunburst finish and it has ivoroid binding around the top. The ebony fretboard is inlaid with pearl blocks and has a radius. The MD305 has the percussive bark that bluegrass demands when you dig in hard, but if you back off a bit, it works well for Celtic styles, old-time string band music, jazz and just about any style you can think of. Includes a well padded gig bag.
