Details
This is the model that put Collings on the map back in the 1980s, and the D2H has been a touchstone for rosewood dreadnoughts ever since. The torrefied top on this example gives it a broader tonal dimension, the biggest difference we've noticed is an increase in sustain yet maintains lots of individual note clarity.
The 1 3/4" width at the nut gives the fingers of your left hand a bit more room but doesn't feel at all bulky. Headroom, balance 'tween bass and treble, this D2H has it all while still delivering the powerful bass response and "acoustic reverb" that keeps guitar pickers coming back to rosewood dreadnoughts again and again..
