Details
Maybe it's a 00 size, but it delivers more than 00-size sound. Have your picking pals play this lightly used all-mahogany Collings blindfolded and see what model they guess it to be. Not only does it sound larger than it is, it also has a more spruce-like tone than you'd expect, while still retaining the mellow mahogany vibe at the same time.
The only signs of use are that the satin finish on the top has been rubbed a bit more glossy where the player's arm went over the edge of the lower bout, the barrel of neck is more glossy, and there's a bit of that same effect around the pickguard. This gives it a vintage look, but of course without any artificial distressing. A very cool looking, and sounding, example of why Collings Traditional models are so popular with the players who usually buy only vintage gear.
