Details
This Gibson 1964 ES-335 Reissue was made in 2021 and it’s barely been played which is a shame because this guitar sounds great and deserves spending more time out of its case. The nickel metal parts on this guitar are lightly aged, so it's hard to tell if the pick scuffs to the pickguard are "original" or "post sale." There's also very light finish wear to the back, if you catch the light just right. This beauty has a slim but not scrawny ‘64 Medium C neck that is a breeze to play. It’s fitted with a pair of Custom Shop Custombucker pickups, which are made with Alnico III magnets. Like the humbuckers Gibson was making in the early 19+60s, these are unpotted, which gives them a distinctly vintage character. The finish features Gibson’s VOS treatment, which knocks off the slick shine and gives the guitar a subtler, slighter more worn look without going full relic. Include the original hardshell case and all the case candy including the COA.
