This Gibson Wes Montgomery L-5 was built in 2014 and it boasts some of the most flamboyantly figured maple we have seen. This guitar is in excellent structural and cosmetic condition and shows just the slightest signs of having been played. (Maybe the previous owner was mesmerized by the beauty of the maple and forgot to play it whenever he took it out of the case.) The Gibson L-5 Wes Montgomery has long been a favorite with jazz players, who rarely use the rear or "lead" pickup on an archtop anyway. Without the added weight of that second pickup sitting right next to the bridge, these Wes Montgomery models have a more satisfying acoustic response with a rich, round plugged in tone. The original case is in similar condition. Includes the Gibson Custom Shop Crimson COA.
