Details
Gibson's Custom Shop did a good job of capturing the mid-'50s vibe of the '54 Les Paul. Along with the COA and other original papers in the case there's also an alternate bridge that allows tune-a-matic style intonation. Of course the wraparound bridge/tailpiece is stock for a '54 so that's how we set it up. Not much playing wear to be found, but despite the nearly perfect gold top there are some small dents and dings to the finish on the back, and the pickguard shows this has been played. It's had an excellent refret with the wider, meatier frets you'd find on a '59, and they're stainless steel (which is probably why there's so little sign of fret wear). An excellent, easy-playing example of the unique P-90s powered Les Paul. Original black Gibson case is nearly perfect.
