Details
This Flatiron F Festival mandolin, sometimes labeled the F2, was crafted in 2007 in China under Gibson’s supervision. It has a solid spruce top and a solid maple back and sides with some nice figure in the wood. Unlike the Flatiron Festival models that were made in the US, the fingerboard extension is not attached to the top, which lets the top vibrate a little more freely. Also, the fingerboard has a radius and the end of the fretboard has a scoop, which means the fretboard doesn’t get in the way with more vigorous picking. This mandolin is in excellent cosmetic and structural condition. Includes a hardshell case in equally clean condition.
