Details
This OME Odyssey was crafted in Boulder, Colorado in 2004. The Odyssey was part of OME’s Custom Series, and each one built was basically one-of-a-kind. This example was made with figured maple for the neck and resonator and finished in rich sunburst. The metal parts are hand-engraved. This banjo is in excellent structural and cosmetic with just some very minor fret wear. Although the beautiful inlays and engraved metal parts are what first catches your attention, the list of "under the hood" OME goodies are what delivers when you play it, such as the cast bell bronze "Megatone" flathead tone ring and 3-ply maple shell. This is a sweet sounding banjo, with a round full tone with a crisp highs and a balanced midrange. Includes the original case, which is in good shape, although the edge of the covering is frayed along one edge.
