Details
This Kamaka HF-36 was made in 2004 and it’s in good structural and cosmetic condition. The frets show almost no wear but there are a few nicks and scuffs in the finish here and there. The 6-string version of the popular Kamaka tenor offers a unique sound thanks to the 3rd and 1st strings being doubled and tuned in octaves. This puts the string tuned to the lowest pitch as one of the 1st string pairs, and the result is a haunting high-and-low sound unlike any other uke. It's a bit easier to play than the 8-string version (the HF-38), and of course if you don't want that high-4th sound you can swap the 4th string for a wound string tuned an octave lower, giving you two wound strings tuned low, and yet another unique tone. Includes a padded gig bag.
