Details
The Bacophone is one of our favorite 11-inch open-back Bart Reiter models because it’s such a versatile banjo. The name "Bacophone" comes from the fact that it has a spun brass tone ring as used on many of the higher end Bacon banjo models from a century ago. This tone ring adds extra resonance without adding a lot of weight, and it delivers a more mellow tone than a cast brass tone ring like the Whyte Laydie. This example was built in 2004 and it’s in excellent structural and cosmetic condition. It comes with a hardshell TKL case, which is equally clean.
