Details
Guild Guitars has changed owners and production sites so often in recent years it's confusing, but this Starfire III was made shortly after Fender had moved Guild production to Corona, Calif. Needless to say that town in Southern California has more than its share of skilled guitarmakers and it shows on this one, which has a serial number that's lots of zeros followed by "2", in other words very early production. It shows almost no playing wear, but there are some scratches to the transparent red finish, apparently from the floating bridge moving around. These minor surface issues are reflected in the low price.
