Details
We’ve always loved the Gibson L-4 CES, which is sort of a well-designed upgrade to the iconic ES-175. The most obvious differences are the ebony fretboard and the gold hardware, but the most important change is the addition of a carved spruce top, which gives the L-4 CES a rounder, richer tone than the ES-175 with its stiffer, laminated top. This example is in fine structural and cosmetic condition. The frets are in good shape and show just a little wear. There is a repaired crack on the bass side f-hole and the binding on the neck is showing signs of shrinking at the fret ends. This guitar has a label signed by James Hutch Hutchins and dated on March 25, 2001. Oh, and did we mention this guitar comes from the Neal Schon Collection and comes with a COA attesting to that fact. Includes the original hardshell case.
