Details
This Vega Long Neck banjo was made in 1998 by Deering, who now owns the Vega name. This banjo is an accurate replica of the PS-5, the banjo invented by Pete Seeger in the late 1940s. (Fun fact: Legendary luthier John D’Angelico made the first long neck for Seeger.) Pete Seeger wanted a banjo that he could tune to E (E,B,E,G#,B) without using a capo so he could easily use it to accompany his singing. This banjo has a Tubaphone tone ring and a maple neck with an ebony fretboard. This banjo is in excellent structural and cosmetic condition with almost no fret wear. Includes the original hardshell case which is in equally clean condition.
