Details
This 29 years-old Flatiron F model was obviously handed around in some prestigious bluegrass mandolin circles back in the '90s, as the back was signed in felt pen by at least 8 A-list pickers including: Roland White, Mike Compton, Sam Bush, Tim O'Brien, Ronnie McCoury, etc. Other than the signatures it's pretty much original but a nice touch is the scooped fingerboard past the 20th fret. There's some light lacquer checking and pick wear to the top, plus a couple of deeper dings and a clamp mark along the lower edge (below the treble side f hole), probably from a pickup jack mount years ago. The rest of the finish shows only light surface scuffs, frets show very little wear so the previous owner had a light touch. Comes with original hardshell case.
