Details
This Gibson EB-0 was built in Kalamazoo in 1963 and judging from its still vibrant cherry red finish and minimal fret wear, it hasn’t spent much time out of its case in the past 61 years. This bass still has all its original parts including its humbucking pickup, tuning machines, pickguard and thumb rest. The original pots date to the 8th week of 1963. The finish is in excellent condition with just a light amount of the usual crazing we see on Gibsons from this period. The only cosmetic issues are the plating on the hand rest is worn and there is a thumbnail sized spot on the back near the lower cutaway where the finish is worn through to the wood. Judging from the position, we suspect this was caused by the rivets found on jeans. The original hardshell case is included and its in equally clean condition.
