Details
This Gibson L-7 was made in Kalamazoo in 1950 and it’s one of the cleanest examples we have ever offered. The L-7 was Gibson's most popular professional archtop and it has all the punch, power and presence of the L-5 without all the bling. This 17" guitar has a long 25 ½” scale length and neck has the classic full C profile. All the hardware is original with the exception of one replaced Kluson tuner. There are two small circular discolorations in the finish near the bridge that we suspect are marks left by a contact pickup. Many Gibson archtop aficionados consider the instruments made between 1948 and 1953 or so to be the best sounding versions and after playing this for a few minutes, we think you will agree. Includes the original brown and pink Lifton case, which is in equally clean condition.
